Theft, Conspiracy: Three Charged

Magistrate Court, Rivers |State presided over by B.M.F. Jamabo has admitted three accused persons bail over an alleged stealing and conspiracy charge brought against them before his court.
The accused persons are Gbenenee Robinson, 26, Johngbo Tambari, 32, and Saturday Power were all arraigned before the court by the state police command on four count charge bordering on stealing, conspiracy, unlawful breaking, malicious damages with charge sheet no pmc/ 666c/2016.
The prosecuting police officer, Inspector Adari Idafi told the court that the  accused  persons on 12th day of June, 2014 at the Rivers State Polytechnics, Bori within the jurisdiction of the court did conspire to commit felony to aid; stealing and unlawful breaking into the business centre and malicious damage of computer equipment, generators, photocopying machine and other electrical items all valued N7,466,950.00 in the order of Emmanuel Omah, the then Director of Students Affairs (DSA) in the premises of the said institution properties of one Augustine O. Enyiantse a bonafide tenant who was not indebted to the polytechnic as at the time of the incident.
The police prosecutor further told the court that the accused persons on the same date and place within the Port Harcourt magisterial district did steal the sum of two hundred and seventy-five thousand naira (275,000.00) only in the premises of the Bori Polytechnic occupied by and property of one Augustine O. Enyiantse, a tenant of the institution.
He alleged that the suspects committed an arbitrary act prejudicial to Mr Augustine Enyiantse rights and punishable under section 516, 104, 390 (a) and 451, (g) of the criminal code cap 37.vol II laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.
Ruling on their bail applications, the presiding chief magistrate, B.M.F Jamabo granted bail of N500,000 in like sum with one surety, 2 passports  each and adjourned the case to 28/4/2016 for continuation.
