Step-Aga Abandons Circular Reggae For Gospel Songs

born Reggae super star, Stephen Asiga, popularly known as ‘step Aga’ who has three studio reggae albums to his credit, said he has dumped the circular reggae for Gospel Reggae because he has discovered Christ pointing outthat he is now a born again.
The reggae artiste in a recent interviewed with The Tide entertainments said, in circular reggae they sing mostly in clubs and other hangouts where girls dance naked, drink to stupor and smoke like Chimney which is not the life of ladies child of God, so he decided to denounce that pattern of living for Christ Jesus.
“Since I discovered Christ, old things are passed away and behold all things are made new, according to the scriptures.  Today I go from crusade to crusade, the churches and other worship centres to praise God with my voice because my voice belongs to God, instead of using it  to promote immorality and corruption in society” he said.
The gospel reggae macstro disclosed that since he embraced God, his life has turned around for good with awesome blessings in his life, family and career. He paid tribute to international reggae star Buchi who paved the way for gospel reggae.
According to him, Buchi was a prominent voice in the circular reggae genre before he switch over to reggae, so his success in that area encourage him to borrow a leaf from Buchi which he has gladly done.
Step-Aga also known as the ‘Humble preacher said he started music at a very tender age because it was his calling from birth, he stressed that his guest for success in music is not for financial gratifications or desire for fame, but to serve the people and preach to them for spiritual emancipation from sin and materialism.
He stated that by Gods grace he is achieving his aim, especially now that he uses his voice and talent to propagade the gospel of God. He said since he became a professional musician he never had a producer or song writer he did every thing by him self and the holy spirit until he became born again, then he had a producer, song writer and produced his new record titled “Repent” which is expected to hit the market soon.
He disclosed that his first album titled “New Fashion’ which had five tracks, was released in the year 2000 followed by a second album titled.
“I look up  to jab which was released in 2004. He stressed that though they were not commercial success as he expected, but he was never discourage, now that he is in Christ, it is well with him.
He urged other circular reggae artistes to join him because he has seen the light.
