According to him, most investors see investment in the entertainment sector as a waste of precious time and resources, but Port Harcourt based artistes have proved them wrong.
He maintained that Rives State the treasure base of Nigeria also boasts of seasoned artistes, comedians and showbiz personalities such as Kunle Tatafo, (comedian of the Federal Republic), humour merchant, Julius Agwu, DJ Kelvin, Angel D’Laugh, Dan D’ Humourous, Prince Hezekiah and Rugged pastor. Others include: DJ Best, Mr 2 Kay, Grafton entertainment, Lady IB, Duncan Mighty, Kikis Briggs Step-Aga etc.
The ‘PSJ’ Games Co-ordinator of silverbird cinemas, Port Harcourt, observed that showbiz in Port Harcourt is not in the same platform with Lagos, because in Lagos there are more collaborations and investment than in Rivers State, that is why Entertainment industry thrives in cagos and the city bubbles with fun and regular merriments. He stated that the only solution to the dilemma facing the industry in Rivers State is for both government and the organised private sector to partner with the entertainers.
