RSG Assures On Elelenwo-Akpajo Road Completion …As Gov Inspects New Slaughter Site At Eleme …Appoints New Muslim Pilgrims Board Chair

The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has assured  residents of Elelenwo and Akpajo in Obio\Akpor and Eleme local government areas that the new road linking the two LGAs will be delivered as scheduled for the economic  development  of  the  area.
The governor also said that the total rehabilitation  of Trans-Amadi Industrial Layout Road will enhance economic  activities  in the commercial  hub of the state capital.
Wike, who on Wednesday addressed workers on the two major  roads in Eleme and Port Harcourt  City local government areas, urged them to maintain  the speedy pace of  work.
He noted that the dualization of the Elelenwo-Akpajo  Road  will ease traffic in the area, with residents having smooth access to Onne  Port for  their businesses.
The governor also inspected the proposed new site of the Slaughter-Market along the  Elelenwo-Akpajo road.
He was accompanied  on the inspection  visit by the State Commissioner  for  Urban Development, Mr Chinyere Igwe.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has appointed Alhaji Mustapha Jackreece as the chairman of the Rivers State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Kenneth Kobani, indicated that the appointment  takes immediate  effect.
