Road Rehabilitation Reduces Traffic Gridlock –Motorists

torists in Port Harcourt have said that Governor Nyesom Wike’s ongoing road rehabilitation programme has drastically reduced traffic gridlock in Port Harcourt and its environs.
The motorists who bared their mind in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt recently said the road rehabilitation and construction projects spread across Port Harcourt and its environs had really provided succor to the motorists.
According to them, the Governor’s passion for road rehabilitation and construction is second to none to the extent that the whole city is wearing a new look and the usual hold-ups have disappeared.
They expressed delight with the proactive action taken to alleviate the menace of road traffic jam and enjoined the state’s chief executive to keep up the spirit despite all odds and provocations by the opposition.
Essien Solomon noted that the road networks embarked upon by the present government had reduced the time wasted on the road particularly during business hours.
Another Motorist, Joe Obianda said he was impressed that hold-ups on most roads in Port Harcourt have gradually disappeared, thereby giving room to operate their commercial transport.
In his comment, Chief Nefiepiri Ossai noted that the road network has made commercial transportation easy in the state, as they are no longer trapped in unnecessary traffic gridlocks.
Ossai hailed the state governor for his developmental strides and wished that he would extend it to internal roads and streets in the state to complement the good work done.
Also commenting, Gabriel Fynaface said despite the fuel challenges he is facing, he was impressed with the Governor, road rehabilitation and construction efforts and enjoined him not to relent.
