Rep Promises Equity, Justice
The member representing
Umuahia South State Constituency in Abia House of Assembly (APGA), Mr Chijioke Nwachukwu, has promised equitable distribution of dividends of democracy in the area.
He made the promise during the inauguration of his constituency office at Apumiri, the headquarters of Umuahia South Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, no section of the area will suffer discrimination in the distribution of projects during his tenure.
He said: “I will work tirelessly in the house to ensure that my constituency gets what is due to it.
“I also promise that no ward will be left out or made to suffer discrimination in the distribution of the dividends of democracy during my tenure.’’
He thanked the people of the constituency for voting massively for his party in the last general and re-run elections.
“I promise not to betray the high confidence you reposed in me, which you demonstrated unequivocally during the two elections,’’ he said.
He assured the people that he would not relent in his efforts to provide effective and fruitful representation of the constituency.
In his remarks, the Speaker, Chief Martins Azubuike, commended the lawmaker for setting up a constituency office.
He urged the people to make the best use of the facility to discuss issues concerning the development of the constituency and the state in general.
The ceremony was attended by the member representing Umunneochi State Constituency, Mr Ikedi Ezekwesili and the state secretary of the party, Mr Onukwubiri Sunday, among other chieftains of the party in the area.
