The Police in Enugu
State says they will involve the Fulani community in Ezeagu Local Government Area of the state in their plans towards fighting crime in the area.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, made this known in an interview with  newsmen in Enugu.
“We have a programme structure, which will be undertaken in Ezeagu (LGA), it is a mega-one; it is going to be at the local government.
“All relevant stakeholders: traditional rulers, youth-based organisations, the clergy, farmers, Fulani herdsmen are involved in what we are talking about, because in as much as you live in a community where we want to sensitise, you are relevant in what we are doing and we are going to bring you in.
“Of course we are not leaving the media out of this.
“During that programme too, we usually roll out our security tips and our numbers that will guide you in day-to-day interaction with the Nigerian police.’’
Amaraizu said that the Police Campaign against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) was designed to end all forms of crime in the state.
He said that the Police embarked on a persuasive campaign with a view to changing the attitudes of residents and ensuring peaceful coexistence between communities in the area.
Amaraizu said that the campaign would hold from April 27 to April 28.
According to him, the command is getting more and more information from concerned people of the state
