It was fun and exciting as a
group under the aegis of Port Harcourt Dangers Association (PDA) show cased their talents at an All Stars Tennis Club American Singles and Doubles Tennis Tournament in Port Harcourt.
The 273 members of the association displayed the skills they had that the tennis family and other dignitaries that graced the occasion were so excited and moved by their performance.
Speaking of the event, a leading member of the funky-four comedian group, Tekena Iyalla attested that the members if encouraged could excel to greater heights in their chosen career.
Iyalla advised them to take their performance serious as dancing had been a source of livelihood in most families in Nigeria and other parts of the globe.
He also called on the government to encourage artists and other talents like the dancers by organising some entertainment shows and inviting them to showcase their talents and skills, thereby giving them a sense of belonging and moral boosting.
In a chat with The Tide Entertainment Desk, the leader of the association, DJ Blackson Perewari Ugele hinted that the group was barely three months old and had been promoting and developing the talents of the youths.
Ugele said they also out to change the negative mindset of some people that dancers are never do wells or drop outs of schools, pointing out that some of their members were in Maltina Dance All Season.
According to him, notable dancers like the Green family of season 8 of 2012, Ibimani Ekubo of Season 5 in 2011, Relex Atubonengi Paul, Calistus Ugodima (C-fly) and Ebi Williams have been making waves and also doing the state proud.
He however vowed that the sky would be their limits with some backings from government and public spirited individuals as well as corporate organisations in the state.
