Peugeot Embarks On Skills Acquisition Programme
Peugeot Automobile of
Nigeria has called on South East governors and non-governmental organisations to sponsor people to its ongoing skills acquisition programmes.
The South East Sales Manager of the company, Mr Gerald Ikejiofor, made the call at the 27th Enugu International Trade Fair, saying that the company was at the fair to exhibit the high technology and new innovations it has brought into its products.
“Peugeot Automobile has introduced courses for lady mechanics, auto-panel beating, ICT, driving school and other related programmes.
“Kano State Government is presently sponsoring 67 people in the programme. So, l encourage other state governors to sponsor their people to the programme.
“The company also has vehicle finance scheme that targets the low income earners to provide the opportunity for them to own a car.
“Interested working class and self-employed people can go to our partner banks and discuss with them on how to access the scheme,’’ he said.
He explained that the interest rate on such purchase was reasonable for any low income earner as the payment was spread for a period of four years.
“This vehicle finance scheme has been pushing our products very fast. We came to this fair with two models of our products which are Peugeot Expert, a nine-seater passenger bus at the cost of N7,883,000 and Peugeot 301 sold at N4,527,000.
“The spare parts of our products are genuine and affordable; we have Peugeot technical service offices in all the states and their warranty is three years.
“These vehicles are built on safety standards and all the four wheels conditioned in such a way that if one wheel is faulty, the car cannot start until you correct the faulty one as it could lead to accident,’’ Ikejiofor explained.
