FRSC Nabs 81 Traffic Offenders In Onitsha

Safety Corps (FRSC) said  that it apprehended no fewer than 81 motorists for various offences during the Easter Special Patrol in Onitsha.
The FRSC’s Onitsha Unit Commander, Mr Paulinus Akpotobo,told newsmen  in Onitsha that the traffic offenders were apprehended during the special patrol between March 24 and March 30.
“There was free flow of traffic and no accident was recorded in the town during the period.
“However, 81 motorists were apprehended for violations such as overloading, non-use of seat belts and use of the telephone while driving,’’ Akpotobo said.
The unit commander assured that the FRSC would ensure its regular presence on roads in the area, even after the Easter period.
“Motorists should shun drinking while driving, speeding and violation of lane and obey the instructions of the regular and special marshals on the road,” Akpotobo added.
