He said that NLC can no longer fold its hands and allow authorities of some universities to disrupt academic activities over issues that could be managed judiciously and in the best interest of the schools and students.
Ajaero said that NLC leadership were in the state to assess the extent of the situations at the University of Port Harcourt, meet with the stakeholders to find a solution to issues that gave rise to the crisis and condole with the family of the deceased student killed during the demonstration on Monday.
He reiterated the readiness of the congress to mobilise its affiliate unions in solidarity with the students, if the Nigerian universities managements fail to handle students demands maturely through amicable dialogue.
