A business man with the
Rivers State Polytechnic Bori, now Ken Sero-Wiwa Polytechnic, Mr Augustine O. Eyiantse, has petitioned the State Commissioner of Police and the Department of Security Services (DSS) over alleged threats to his life and family.
The businessman, a tenant of the state Polytechnic Bori, alleged that the Director of the Students Affairs of the institution (DSA) and the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the polytechnic are those behind the threats to his family.
In a two page letter addressed to the state police command and the department of the state security services in Port Harcourt and endorsed by his lawyer, L.A Deekae (esq), the petitioner urged the security agencies to as a matter of urgent public interest investigate the matter to being to halt the evil intentions of the duo before they make do with their threats.
According to him, “trouble started  in  2014 when his two room shop, a business centre, at the Bori Polytechnic was destroyed by the two principal officers of the institution and added that he lost over one million naira in that evil action.
Mr Eyiantse an indigene of Delta State said the shops was allocated to him by the school after he met all the necessary requirements in  2007 by the then director of the student  affairs and added that several letter written by his lawyer to the  school management for compensation was rebuffed.
He disclosed that, when there was no positive response coming from the school authority, he took the matter to police through his lawyer” and added that since then his life and that of the family have been under series of threats by the agents and cronies of the DSA and CSO of Bori Polytechnic who boasted that they were above the law.
He averred that since the destruction of his business centre in 2014, life he said, has become unbearable adding that he and his household now live in fear.
The petitioner used the medium to call on the security agencies to invite the two persons with a view to unravelling the extent of their threats as well as protect the lives of his families from the dangerous threat of the duo.
But when contacted on phone, the Rector of Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic Bori, Mr Georgewill Onegnyi M. D refused to reply text message from our reporter on the matter.
Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO)  ASP Ahmed Mohammed, proved abortive.
