RIWAMA Charges Residents To Keep Rivers Clean
The Rivers State Waste
Management Agency (RIWAMA), has charged residents of the state to see the task of keeping the state clean and habitable as a collective responsibility.
The Sole Administrator of RIWAMA, Felix Obuah, while playing host to the environmental health officers in his office, said Governor Nyesom Wike placed high premium on restoring the Garden City status of Port Harcourt and its environs.
Obuah frowned that the door to door inspection of homes, offices and residence by the environmental health officers is now on the decline.
He charged the health officers to strengthen their legal department so as to be able to prosecute those dumping refuse indiscriminately on the streets.
