A chieftain of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) and former Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon Timothy Nsirim, has called on the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Chief Davies Ibiamu Ikanya to show decorum and respect the office of the government of the state.
Hon Nsirim made the call on Friday in Port Harcourt, following what he described as unconstructive criticism by the APC chairman on Governor Nyesom Wike.
Chief Ikanya had accused Governor Wike of habouring the wanted ex-militant in Ogoniland, Solomon Ndigbara, in Government House, Port Harcourt.
He also accused the governor of accommodating the ex-militant in his entourage to  Bori where he went to inspect the level of damages occasioned by alleged military invasion of Ogoniland.
Hon Nsirim who described Ikanya’s allegation as embarrassing and lacking decorum, called on security agents to arrest the APC chieftain to prove his allegation against the governor.
According to him, “democracy allows criticisms and propaganda, but every criticism and propaganda must be constructively made to promote good governance and not to destroy the integrity of people in the name of politics”.
