Playing In PH Has Brought Enyimba Luck

The chairman of Enyimba Internatinal FC, Felix Anyansi-Agwu has hailed the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, the government and people of Rivers State after Enyimba trounced visiting vital of Burundi 5-1 on Sunday. It was the first leg of the first round of the 2016 CAF champions league.
Speaking after the game, the chairman said that the lucky aura of the stadium and the state government has rubbed off on the team and he expressed his gratitude to the authorities that approved the venue for the team.
According to Anyansi-Agwu, no home team has lost a match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium and Enyimba has followed suit. Also, Enyimba had been having scoring problems and had not scored more than once in games before adopting the Port Harcourt stadium as home ground. Now, the club has scored seven times in two matches and has virtually sealed a place in the next stage of the champions league.
The chairman also saluted the impressive performance of the People’s Elephant against the Burundians on Sunday.
He claimed that if the players could replicate the feat they recorded against the visitors from Burundi in their other matches; the sky will only be their starting point and not their limit.
