NWFL To Kicks Off Next Month

Rivers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt, Whyte Ogbondah said that the 2016 Nigerian Women Football League (NWFC),  is expected to kick off next month.
Coach Ogbondah, stated this yesterday in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the League might start next month, since the February 20 date for commencement did not work out.
“I think with the look of things the league will start in April, though we are still waiting on the management Board to announce authentic date to commence the new season”, Whyte said.
Meanwhile, preparations are in top gear as the team is set to win double, this football season.
“The players are in high spirit and poised to defend the title won last season”, he added.
Captain of the team Lucky Atu has said that the players are determined to win both trophies, saying that, the players are being motivated by the payment of all salaries owned them.
“We have being paid all monies owed the players, match bonuses, sign-on fees, salaries and match allowances” Atu said.
