Igbo Group Decries Resurgence Of Kidnapping

Forum (NUF), has decried the resurgence of kidnapping in parts of the South East, stressing the need for governors in the zone to address the situation.
The President of group, Mr Augustine Chukwudum, told newsmen on Saturday in Enugu that the development called for urgent attention.
He added that kidnapping, which was put on check in the last two years in the region, had suddenly resurfaced and was taking its toll on the residents.
“We call on South-East governors to collaborate with security agencies to check the menace, especially in Enugu and Abia states.
“All known security apparatus used to curtail the menace two years ago should be reactivated’’.
Chukwudum, however, commended Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu for his developmental stride in Abia, adding that the state was currently undergoing a commendable urban renewal.
He urged the governor not to rest on his oars in providing dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
