Federation Gets Office Equipment After Championships

The Wushu-Kungfu Fed
eration (NWKF) on Saturday ended its National Grading Course and Championships, receiving office equipment, including a computer for effective administration of the sport.
Tidesports reports that the federation’s Secretary, Evelyn Fanunmi, received the equipment donated by the President of NWKF, Aderemi Adedapo.
Fabunmi applauded Aderemi for the donation, saying that the gift was an answered prayer as the secretariat had challenges in the execution of its work and communicating with the state associations.
“I am very happy with the president’s gift to the federation because hitherto, the secretariat staffs go outside to do their work.
“That is why I am really appreciating Adedapo for meeting us here in the secretariat at a particular point of our need. It’s indeed a big relief,’’ she told newsmen after receiving the equipment.
Adedapo had earlier promised to remain committed to do anything within his capacity to enhance the growth of the sport during his tenure.
He expressed delight with the just-concluded course and championships, describing it as well-organised, and also praised the athletes for a splendid performance.
“My utmost desire is to see Wushu-Kungfu record a tremendous success in my tenure being the reason I decided to empower the secretariat with the small gift.
“I am mostly trilled by the performance exhibited in ‘Taolu and Sanshuo’ event by the athletes. The officiating is also commendable, I am really impressed,’’ he said.
