Cycling Association Vows To Defend Past Record

Cycling Association has promised to defend and sustain the medals won at the 18th National Sports Festival (NSF) tagged “Eko 2012” in Lagos State in the forthcoming 19th National Sports Festival.
Head Coach of the body Emmanuel Ononsanya disclosed this yesterday in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, his athletes have what it takes and are set to sustain it’s victory at the past fiesta, saying that, the athletes are in high spirits waiting for the festival to begin.
“The Cyclists have been training ahead of future state or national assignment, as they are very well prepared for the “paradise Games scheduled to hold later this year in Calabar, Cross Rivers State”, Ononsaya said.
He stated that the athletes have made remarkable progress in their training, especially, with the regular monthly Cycling programme which usually hold in the state, there is no doubt the competition has enhanced their performance and improved their standards on the sport.
He however, advised the athletes to continue in their relentless efforts to do the state proud and take the sport to the desired height in the state.
