‘Wike’s Administration ‘ll Be Best In Rivers’

The wife of Rivers State Governor, Justice Suzette Nyesom Wike, says women have great role to play in the development of the state.
Justice Nyesom-Wike while speaking at a special stakeholders meeting for women held in Government House at the weekend in Port Harcourt, urged Rivers women leaders to support Governor Nyesom Wike’s administration to enable him attain greater heights.
She said: “We have to remain focused to drive development across Rivers State.  As women, we should work towards promoting peace so that the government can continue with development projects in the state.
“There is a lot in Rivers State that this state cannot be ignored.  All we have to do is to pray for peace “.
She said, already, Governor Wike has in the last eight months proved that development can be fast-tracked in the state, despite the current  economic challenges  in the country.
In her words, “My husband is the governor today  by the will of God.  I am confident that my husband’s administration  will be the  best in the history  of the state. He will perform  creditably to the level that years after his tenure Rivers people will be talking about his positive achievements in the state”.
She emphasized that the meeting was aimed at creating an atmosphere for  women leaders in the state to rub minds in providing blueprint to enhance and promote women development in the  state.
The programme  also witnessed presentation of lectures on health by Dr Ovundu, etiquette by Miss Jennifer Onyejekwe and legal rights by Lady Inime Aguma.
Participants at the First Rivers Women Stakeholders’ Meeting with Justice Suzette Nyesom-Wike include  female commissioners,  wives of commissioners  wives of state legislators, wives of local government chairmen,  female academics, politicians and businesswomen.
