St Valentine: Celebrants Storm Centres, Restaurants
As the world marked St
Valentine’s Day yesterday, some fun seekers and loved ones stormed event centres and restaurants to celebrate the day.
The Tide correspondent who visited some areas in Port Harcourt observed that operators had a brisk business as their business centres were filled with people who came to wine and dine as well as seek fun and entertainments.
Our correspondent further observed that the unprecedented crowd gave the operators a busy moment while their customers were also busy enjoying every moment.
At Step Down Bar, loved ones clothed in red and white colours seated in twos and fours on a table helped themselves to liguor and pepper soup.
Also at Jubilee Park in Port Harcourt Township, the story was not different as a large number of fun seekers were seen celebrating the V Valentine’s Day in a grand style.
Both the Bush Bar and other open spaces in the garden were filled to capacity with fun seekers having a nice time with their lovers.
Event centres like Hugo and the Dawn also had programmes that were attended by a crowd of people just to mark the day.
At Blue Spot, the manager, Emeka Joe confirmed that there was business boom as they had large sales and wished the forthcoming Easter celebration will also attract customers for patronage. Our correspondent also observed that Spar, Mr Biggs Kilimanjaro, The Promise and other fast-food eatries also witnessed large turn-outs of celebrants.
