Senate Committee Lauds NPA On Revenue Generation

Committee on  Maritime, Senator Ahmed Yerima, has commended the management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) for  improved revenue generation.
Speaking during the committee’s visit to NPA headquarters on Monday, Senator Yerima said the committee actually came to acquaint itself with the current workings of the organisation.
He also reiterated that the current administration was very serious about its fight against corruption and that it was indeed time for change.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Managing Director of NPA, Mallam Habib Abdulla had told the distinguished senators that NPA had embarked upon blockage of most revenue leakages since three years ago and it was still working tirelessly to achieve zero tolerance for reenue leakages.
As a result, rather than lose funds, NPA has recorded increase in revenue generation,” he said.
Mallam Abdullahi also added that NPA had embarked on lots of projects to improve the service delivery of the organisation and had a resounding success  in all its projects, thus far.
The visiting lawmakers included Ahmed Sanni Uman, Isiaka Adeleke, Salami Phiare, Theodore Orji, Clifford Ordia, Kabiru Gaya, Adeola Olamilekan and  Emmanuel Paulka while with the Managing  Director  were the Executive Directors of Marine and Operations, Engr. David Omonibeke, Finance and Administration Mr Olamide Oduntan and
Engineering, Technical Services, Engr. Mohammed Saleh and some General Managers.
