Rivers NCSU Seeks Reform Of Civil Service

vice Union (NCSU), Rivers State chapter, has called for reform in the civil service to improve service delivery by the workers.
Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, the state Chairman of the union, Comrade Opuiyo Lilly-West said the reform will revamp the public service of the state especially in the areas of manspower training, and infrastructural development .
Lilly-West said over the years, government has not paid adequate attention to reform the public service to achieve the desired results, stressing that with the present government, things would change for the better for the public service workers in the state.
The union chairman said that the reform will also provide facilities for the workers to effectively discharge their duties as engine room of government for efficient and prompt implementation of policies.
He said the workers are fully in support of the present administration of Governor Wike and lauded the governor for the prompt payment of salaries and pensions to workers and pensioners in the state .
