Petroleum Products Diversion: RSG Names Special Taskforce
The Rivers State Government says diversion of petroleum products meant for Rivers State is responsible for present scarcity of the product in the state.
The state Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Shedrack Chukwu, said this in his reaction to the current scarcity of petroleum products in the state.
Chukwu also said a taskforce has been constituted to fight hoarding of petrol and the sale of the product above the official pump price.
He warned that any petrol station involved in hoarding, diversion and other illegal activities will be sanctioned.
The Rivers State Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources assured the people of Rivers State that the state government will do everything positive to ensure that the fuel situation is realized.
