Nyesom Wike: A Lion In Its Den

Ezebunwo Wike is a lion in its den.  Chief Wike is a lion, and Rivers State is its den.
In 2013, the leopard became intolerable, occupied all the spaces in the political forest of the state, terrorized and silenced all the animals in the forest.
Its cries then were “I, and I alone exist” “I, and I alone exist”, (Madi, Madi).  All the animals (Rivers people) were frightened and thus went into seclusion.
The lion came and roared woooo, woooo, the leopared changed its spot (PDP) and scampered away to APC.  The lion took its spot (PDP) and its structures).
The April 11, 2015, the lion roared again, the leopard was subdued and tamed.
In May 29, 2015, the lion roared, the crown was taken from the leopard, and the lion was crowned.  The leopard fizzled out of its spot (Government House) and scampered to a new spot (Abuja).
In January 27, 2016 the lion met the leopard at its new spot (Abuja) roared very loud with great anger, the leopard was finally crushed. It was a humiliating defeat at the leopard’s territory.  The lion took its crown and returned to Rivers State, its den.  And jubilation and merriment erupted in all nooks and crannies of Rivers State.  What an indomitable lion?  What a political juggernaut?  Who says that leopard don’t change its spot?  This one don change o.
In Oduoha-Emohua, PDP supporters sang, danced and merried till dawn.  Some mischief makers went further with gong round the community and jokingly proclaimed that their brothers in APC should relocate to sambisa forest.  It was the similar way the APC supporters did when the tribunal and Court of Appeal hoodwinked them with so-called governorship rerun.  It was a fun.  Indeed, victory is sweet.
Chief Nyesom Wike is also a moving train.  Those who choose to stop the moving train on April 11, 2015 were crushed.  He is a high tension  wire.  Those who climbed the electric poles on January 27, 2016 to tamper with high tension wire have been electrocuted. He is hurricane and Tsunami. He is an earthquake and thunder.  The very earthquake that rocked the state on  April 11, 2015 and January 27, 2016.
It s victims were the rebels, the betrayers, the traitors and the saboteurs of the state and south-south zone.  That was the price they paid for being traitors, and for betraying their brother.  The gods of the land have disowned and paid them in their own coins.
I am very sorry for the chicken-hearted PDP politicians who recently decamped or defected to APC.  They lacked courage, faith and conscience.  I advise that they go back to their various political leaders to plead for forgiveness and reabsorbtion.
In October 24, 2015, the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal nullified Governor Wike’s election victory of April 22, 2015, and Court of Appeal on December 16, 2015 affirmed or upheld the decision of the Governorship Election Tribunal which ordered for rerun. I was neither impressed nor moved by the judgements of those two courts. I kept telling worried PDP supporters not to worry that the Supreme Court will surely come up with different judgment.  When it  eventually happened on January 27, I received calls here and there saying I.K you said it. I was delighted.
I knew that the judgments of the tribunal and Court of Appeal which ordered for the rerun of the governorship election in the state were mere appetizer for Dakuku and APC supporters.  Infact, they have started licking their mouths for continued chop-chop before the Supreme Court on January 27, 2016 turned their table upside down.  Some APC supporters were holding meeting and strategizing for the so-called governorship rerun before thunderbolt struck them.  They were shocked to their marrows.  They watched the melancholic situation with open-mouth and confusion.  It was like a dream and Nollywood film to them.  They were deceived by those two kangaroo courts.
It was like in the days of Noah.  People were drinking and dancing.  Some were marrying and others were given out for marriage when the flood came and swept them away.
By the way, how on earth would God allow an APC government that closed court for nearly a year, refused to pay civil servants for three months and pensioners for four months?  A quarrelsome government that was quarreling and abusing everybody, including our revered traditional rulers to come and rule us again.  It is absurd.
Finally, I commend the judges of the Supreme Court for the landmark judgment which affirmed the election victory of Governor Wike on April 11, 2015.  By that judgment, they have saved many souls that would have died in the so-called governorship rerun.
They also saved billions of naira that would have been spent by INEC, the political parties and individuals.  They saved Rivers State and indeed federal government on the bad effects of rancorous governorship rerun.  Rivers State is the gateway to the nation’s economy, and so what happens to the state affect federal government.  By the judgment the Supreme Court has truly shown that they are not only the last hope of the common man, but also the last door of the justice seekers.  They deserve the commendation of the peace-loving and well-meaning Nigerians.
I congratulate our indomitable Governor, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Wike, on his indefatigable spirit, courage, dedication, commitment, steadfastness and determination to secure our freedom from the APC years of misrule.  However, I call on Governor Wike to commence reconciliation of our people now.  We can’t continue like this.
I also congratulate Rivers people, particularly PDP members for their prayers, patience, faith and trust in God.  Above all, I thank God for this sweet victory He has granted us.  He did it all.  May His name be glorified, Amen.
