Group Advises Rivers People To Imbibe Cleanliness Culture

Against Disasters, Accidents International, a non-governmental organization has called on Rivers people to imbibe the culture of cleanliness so as to avoid the spread of Lassa fever in the state.
The organization which said this in a press release made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt also called for a special funds to tackle the Lassa fever virus.
The release signed by  the Founder/Chief Executive Director of the group Mr Ruskin Amadi, described the spread of the virus as very disturbing.
According to the group “health disaster remains one of the most disturbing worldwide diseases that are contagious and infectious in nature such as Lassa fever, Ebola and Diarrhea must be tackled with fast and effective responses that will bring them under control and on time.
“We also call for special funds to be set aside by the federal, state and local governments to ensure quick human and financial inputs towards preventing and handling cases of infectious diseases in Nigeria” the group said.
