Cricket League: K-11 Thrashes Whales

Port Harcourt Saturday thrashed Whales Cricket Club by 115 runs in the on-going 2016 edition of the Port Harcourt Cricket League.
The match which was played at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Cricket Oval saw K-11 C.C. batted first, and scored 282 runs for loss of six wickets in 40 overs.
Comprehensively, Whales Cricket Club scored a total of 167 runs all out in 20 overs at the weekend game.
However, Nnamdi Idika of K-11 won the most valuable player (MVP) award in the Saturday encounter.
Idika scored a total of 86 runs to win the MVP award in the ODI series of the league which is a full pitch game.
The full pitch game is equal to 50 oval which is called the ODI version, while T-20 is half of an oval.
The 2016 Cricket League is being  played in the two series, (ODI and T-20), since the commencement of the league.
One of the organizers of the Cricket League Tonye Timinadi, has urged the players to sustain the discipline exhibited at the commencement of the league, as to create a peaceful atmosphere during the rest of the competition.
