34 Ships Ready To Berth At Lagos Port
Thirty four ships
laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos from February 23 to March 15.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication – ‘Shipping Position’, – a copy of which was made available to the News men on Tuesday in Lagos.
NPA explained that the expected ships contained buck wheat, bulk salt, containers, bulk sugar, bulk coal, bulk gypsum, general cargoes, buthane, petrol, kerosene, diesel and Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK).
The document noted that five other ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with petrol.
Reports say that 11 other ships are at the ports discharging buck wheat, general cargoes, bulk rice, containers, bulk sugar, diesel, base oil and petrol.
