Wike Wants RSG, Muslim’s Partnership

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has called  on Muslims in the state to work with his administration  to promote a peaceful  environment  for enhanced development  to take place.
Speaking  during  a  Jum’at prayer to mark the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day,  Wike  said  that development  can only take place in a peaceful  environment.
Represented by the Chairman of the Rivers State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abdulrazaq Diepriye, Wike commended members of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their commitment  to  the  peaceful coexistence of the country.
He urged Nigerians  to  always  pray  for Armed Forces personnel as they sacrifice their time and lives to defend  the  country.
He said, “I urge all Muslims in the state to be law-abiding and peaceful. We pray for the peaceful  repose of all Armed Forces  personnel  who lost  their lives defending  the  country. We also pray for  the  families  they left behind”.
In his remarks,  the Imam of the NAF Base Central Mosque,  Squadron Leader  A. Ladan, advised Muslims in Rivers  State  to cooperate with  security agencies  to  enhance  peaceful  coexistence.
