We’ll Sustain Peace, Dev In Rivers -Wike …Set To Build World Class Schools
The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike says peace and development have come to stay in Rivers State.
Speaking at the Holy Ghost Rally of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium yesterday, Wike averred that the successful hosting of the programme means that peace and development have come to stay in the state.
Wike further said “I know with the Holy Ghost Rally, peace has returned to Rivers State”.
“Peace and development will continue to be in this state as a result of the Holy Ghost Rally “, he added.
He prayed God to always protect and preserve Pastor Enoch Adeboye to continue to serve humanity with God’s words.
Wike assured the RCCG members that the traffic situation around the stadium would improve in 2017 as alternative routes would have been constructed.
Speaking on the topic, “the power in the right hand of God “, Pastor Enoch Adeboye stated that God has the capacity to do the impossible and transform any situation.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike on Friday night worshipped at the Salvation Ministries, Home of Success, closing night of the 5 Nights of Glory at the headquarters of the church in Port Harcourt.
Wike was accompanied to the 5 Nights of Glory by his wife, Justice Suzette Eberechi Wike, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Dabotorudima Adams, Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Chief Kenneth Kobani and members of the state House of Assembly.

Meanwhile. The Rivers State Government is set to develop a world class education infrastructure across the state with the aim of instituting a world-class education system, Governor Nyesom Wike has declared.
In a chat with newsmen on Saturday in Port Harcourt after some projects’ inspection covering roads and school projects, Wike said that his administration will develop a boarding system for the secondary school education sub-sector in the state to enhance learning.
According to him, the state government is working on the infrastructure for the boarding schools, noting that the Government Girls Secondary School, Rumuokwuta will serve as a pilot project.
He said: “Our people deserve the best. Therefore, we will give them the best education. We are developing a boarding school system that will produce students who can compete globally.
“I am happy that the basic road infrastructure and fencing of this school have progressed well. We shall in the next few weeks develop the laboratories, hostels and quality libraries to enhance education in this school”.
He pointed out that the same facilities will be developed in 11 schools in the three senatorial districts of the state.
The governor later inspected on-going work at the Second Bridge at the Woji-Akpajo link road and work on Woji road at Rumurolu.
Wike expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the second bridge on Woji road, and added that he will always embark on inspection visits to ensure contractors adhere to approved specifications.
