Tigers FC Emerges Community Champions In Khana

Eemue were very delightful as they defeated All Starts Fc of Terabor 4-3 via penalty shoot-out in the final of the maiden edition of Mpeba football league championship organised among eight teams in Teyor Foani community in Khana Local Government area of Rivers State to life the Coveted trophy on state.
The match which was decided at community primary school held Tenyor Koani watched by unprecedented crowd saw both finalists playing a 1-1 score draw at regulation time before game was dragged into penalty shoot out to determine the cucitaul winner of the final game.
Speaking before presenting the trophy and other consolation prizes to the winners, the Cup donor/sponsor of the competition M. Terr Nule Mpeba, who was represented by his younger brother Chief Emmanuel Mpeba commended not only the two finalists but the entire eight teams for their high level of discipline and active participation in the championship believing that such a good conduct shown by the players and supporters all through the duration of the competition would be sustained in subsequent editions.
Chief Mpeba said that the soccer championship organised in honour of Terr Nnule Mpeba was basically aimed at fostering unity as well as to restore lasting peace among the good people of Teyor-Kaoni community.
“Honestly it has been our burning desire over the years to donate a soccer cup to be competed for among our people as a show of appreciation to their good will done to over family”, Mpeba said.
