Rivers Cricket League Kicks Off, Weekend

ons of the 2015 Edition of the Rivers Cricket League Competition Benvic cricket club of Port Harcourt at the weekend thrashed whales cricket club by 212 runs in the opening fixture of the league.
The match which was played at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Choba, cricket pitch was filled with excitement and entertaining.
Benvic scored a total of 268 runs all out in 38.1 overs while whales scored 53 runs all out in 15 overs.
Tonye Timinadi of Benvic cricket club scored a total runs off 72 balls to win the man of the match award.
Benvic cricket club is warming up against whales cricket club for the next fixture which is scheduled to hold Sunday.
Also, panthers cricket club would encounter k-11 club at the weekend at the same venue.

“We have made every possible arrangements to ensure that the league is smooth and successful,” Timinadi said.
