Group Hails Wike’s S’Court Victory .Renames Body After Gov
A socio-political
group under the aegis of New Rivers Grand Coalition, has described the Supreme Court’s victory of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as a victory for democracy and rule of law.
The group in a statement signed by its chairman, Hon. Iyalla Obianime, and the secretary, Macmorrison Gaibo Harry, said the victory was for the Rivers people.
They pledged their unalloyed support and loyalty to Wike’s administration, stating that as loyalists of the Peoples Democratic Party, they would ensure the victory of the party in all the forthcoming re-run elections in the state.
“We further state that we are totally committed and loyal to the administration of His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State”, the statement said, adding that, “once again I assure you that we shall assist to ensure the victory of the party at all times, as did earlier in the 2015 general elections.
The statement further declared that in order to show their loyalty, the group has changed its name to “Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (NEW) Rivers Grand Coalition.
According to the group, the achievement so far recorded by the Governor in so short in time was monumental and worthy of support, expressing confidence that now that the litigations are over, the governor will settle down and do more for the people of the state.
