Edo Deputy Gov Denies Rift With Oshiomhole
Edo State Deputy Gover
nor, Dr. Pius Odubu, has insisted that there is no rift between him and Governor Adams Oshiomhole to warrant moves for his impeachment, as alleged by a group.
Odubu, who was reacting to an advertisement in the media by a group which alleged that there were plots to impeach the deputy governor, described the allegation as the figment of the imagination of the group he said was faceless.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kelly Odaro, in Benin recently, Odubu said that the advertisement was nothing but a red herring by those bent on driving a wedge between him and the governor, saying, “enough is enough.
“This faceless group and others are warned to desist from this mortifying act. If they are so convinced of what they are alleging, they should be bold enough to add their contact address, phone numbers and use their real names rather than pseudonyms.”
The deputy governor warned that he would not hesitate to invite security agents to investigate the matter with a view to bringing those involved to book.
It would be recalled that the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Edoror and the member representing Egor State Constituency in the Assembly had earlier denied the impeachment story, saying that they went to Asaba, Delta State, for their induction course and did not discuss the issue of impeaching the deputy governor.
