The leadership of
National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), has called for a realistic approach to the current reality faced by Nigerians.
Speaking to The Tide in Port Harcourt last Wednesday, the union’s National President, Comrade Achese Igwe, said government needs to address the economic hardship plaguing the nation and its citizenry.
Igwe said the government must do its best to convince Nigerians of its determination to reduce the current hardship with a better policy to improve the nation’s economy.
He said the union is totally in support of the effort of the government in fighting corruption and urged Nigerians to support this noble effort of the government.
The NUPENG boss said the Federal Government should not only focus its attention on corruption alone but must be holistic in its approach on policies that would move the country forward, create employment opportunities for the unemployed and put necessary infrastructure in place for the satisfaction of the teeming population.
Igwe called on all Nigerians to support Buhari’s policies especially in the oil and gas sector.
