CP Urges Synergy Among Security Agencies

Commissioner of Police, Mr Ekechukwu Nwodibo, has called for more synergy among security agencies in the state.
Nwodibo spoke during a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj.- Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru in Enugu.
He explained that such synergy would greatly improve security.
He said the synergy was indispensable in complementing the efforts of the police in fighting crime and criminality in Enugu State.
“The need for effective partnership between all security agencies and relevant bodies with the police cannot be overemphasised since security is everybody’s business.
“Sister security agencies are critical stakeholders in ensuring a safe and secure community and environment.
“We are ready to partner with you as well as share vital intelligence with you in order to achieve safety and security in the state.
“I believe the greater, the support and synergy, the greater the result of making the state, safe and secure’’, the commissioner stressed.
On his part, Attahiru assured of the army’s continued readiness to partner with the police in order to make the state safe.
“We are partnering not only the police command but also with other sister security agencies in the state’’, the GOC said.
The commissioner of police had paid similar courtesy visits to the Director of State Service in the state, Mr Mohammed Abdulmaliki; and Sector Commander, FRSC, Mr David Mendie.
Others were State Comptroller of Prisons, Mr Aloy Uchenwa and the NSCDC Commandant in the State, Mr Stephen Lar.
