Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo said the visit to the state by the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, at the first month of 2016 is a good omen to the government and people of Rivers State.
Banigo in a statement in Port Harcourt, expressed optimism that the Holy Ghost rally has spiritually impacted on the state, stressing that the prayers offered would usher in peace, stability and prosperity of the state.
The deputy governor used the opportunity to commend the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for promising to construct all the abandoned access roads leading to the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium to ease movement within and outside the stadium.
She noted that the roads, when completed, would not only reduce traffic difficulties experienced by motorists and residents of the area during such programmes but enhance the economic activities of the state.
Banigo explained that the full attendance of officials of the state government at the programme was a clear indication of the cordiality and partnership between the State Government and religious organizations in the state.
The deputy governor said the benefit of dedicating the New Rivers State to God in September 2015, is beginning to manifest positively to the glory of God and to the general well-being of the people.
