ICCN Appeals For Govt’s Support

Club of Nigeria, (LCCN) has appealed to Rivers State Governor, Barrister Nyesom Wike to support the organisation to sustain, late Chief Harold J.R. Dappa Biriye Soccer competition.
The organization further stated that their aims and objectives are geared towards character mouldng through football, seminars and workshops.
This was contained in statement signed the secretary of the organization, Mrs Victoria A. Kokoriko which was made available to Tidesports yesterday.
In the statement, the wife of the state governor, Justice Eberechi S. Wike commended the LCCN for successful hosting of the 21st edition of Chief Harold Dappa Biriye soccer tournament.
Justice Wike who was represented by Mrs Victoria Chikade further lauded the association for immortalizing the nationalists through football tournament in the South-South zone.
She pledged that government would support and encourage the organization to achieve its set goals.
“I appreciate the organisation for immortalizing owe of the famous nationalists through football competition in the South South zone.
I will ensure that the organisation receive support in all ramifications from government to sustain the competition Mrs Chikake said.
Also speaking, Chief Cassca Ogosu, who was the chairman of the occasion during the finals of Dappa Biriye Football tournament said the LCCN does not use only football to mould character, but also through debate and gospel music’s.
Earlier in his address the President Elder Christian A.Y. Okokoriko, thanked her Excellency Justice Wike for honouring their invitation and those who contributed towards the success of the occasion
At the end of the football competition, Mighty Amphibious Brigade  Fc of Rivers State defeat piomers Fc of Bayelsa State 2-1 to emerged champions of the 21st edition.
