Hoopers Gain Promotion To Premier League

ketball club of Rivers State has gained promotion to DSTV basketball premier League in Nigeria.
Hoopers secure the slot as they emerged champions of Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) meris division one league, following their 93-76 defeat against Niger Potters, on Saturday at the Basket Hall, Niger Street in Port Harcourt.

Unmaru, said he is impressed with the quality of play in both teams, saying that the responsibility of the Federation is to ensure that the game is promoted in both rural and urban areas.
I am highly impressed with the quality of play been exhibited by the teams, apart from the fact that the two finalists are already promoted to premiership the standard of play is really high Umuaru said.
According to him, the Federation encourages state basketball associations through technical support.
“We as Federation our duty is to give out rules and guidelines, besides, we supports various associations by giving them technical support balls, equipment some time oganise seminars and workshops. He stated.
Also speaking the head coach of Royal hoopers, Ugoh Davidu said he is excited as his team returned to the elite league, adding that he will do everything adding that he will do everything for the team to remain in the league.
Dandu explained that their major challenged was fiancé in the previous years and that played major role of their relegation.
“Hoestly I am really existed that my team has gone back to the premier. Last time we were relegated because there was no money to attend away matches but I am praying let the governor support us this time around,” Davdu said.
