CTC Member Plans Education Programme
The Supervisor for Educa
tion in Andoni Local Government Area, Mr. Uwaziman Akpon Enos says he has packaged a programme for pupils and teachers in the area.
Speaking during an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt recently, Enos stated that when unveiled, the programme would provide qualitative education and improved welfare as a clear indication of the transformation agenda of the present administration in the area.
According to him, the Caretaker Committee (CTC) chairman, Ere Victor is working in tandem with Governor Nyesom Wike’s vision and mission with the aim to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
“As far as we are given the mandate, we know the challenges of the Andoni people and we are going to tackle them while in office for the benefit of our people,” he said.
Describing the recent peace rally organised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State as a demonstration of Governor Wike’s good governance, the Andoni LGA Supervisor for Education noted that the governor has demonstrated a high sense of maturity in terms of governance.
His developmental strides on roads and clearance of backlog of salary arrears owed workers and pensioners by the past administration, according to Enos, are a testimony being witnessed by the masses, pointing out that Rivers people and residents of the state are happy with Governor Wike.
He observed that the inclusion of non-indigenes in appointments in the state has portrayed Wike as a governor for all, adding that the ‘Black Day’ rally by the APC in the state was a show of the dark ages of the past administration, which portrayed evil and danger.
Also interviewed, a former Organising Secretary of PDP in Andoni Local Government Area, Blessing Tiko noted that the mammoth crowd that heralded the PDP peace rally to show solidarity to Wike’s administration was a clear testimony of the governor’s popularity and openness to people and called for more support.
