NUJ, NAWOJ Mourn The Tide Staff

The remains of late Cynthia Nwoye, a staff of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), will be buried at the Port Harcourt Cemetery tomorrow.
Late Cynthia Nwoye died on March 28, 2015 after a brief illness.
Until her death, she was the treasurer, The Tide Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) as well as a member of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).
Meanwhile, The Tide Chapel of the NUJ has described as very tragic and painful the untimely death of its treasurer, late Cynthia Nwoye.
A statement jointly signed by the Chapel Chairman Mr. Felix Okogbule and the Secretary, Akujobi Amadi also described the incident as a great shock.
It said that the deceased who was hardworking and adventorous will be greatly missed not only by the union, but the entire staff of the Corporation and urged members to participate fully in the burial.
Similarly, the Rivers State Chapter of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) is also mourning the death of Mrs Cynthia Nwoye.
Chairman of the Chapter, Mrs Lilian Okonkwo in a statement said that the incident is a great shock to all members of the Association in the state.
The statement described the deceased as a vibrant and committed member of the Association who participated actively in all its activities and urged all members to participate in her funeral activities.
