Youth And Sex Education

In our society today, it is seen that our youth are not well educated in the aspect of sex. This has led them into engaging in sexual activities without knowing the consequences of their actions.
It is the right of the youths to have a sex education which is widely accepted by the society. This is because they are protected against many abuse such as unwanted pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDs. In fact, sex education helps the youth to know how to meet and maintain the relationships and inform them about matters that affect them.
Sex education helps to reduce risks of powerfully negative outcomes from sexual behaviour, such as unwanted pregnancies and infection. It also aims to contribute to youth positive experience of their sexuality, by enhancing the quality of their relationship and their ability to make informed decisions over their lifetime.
It should help young people to be safe and enjoy their sexuality.
In our society today, sex is the order of the day as youths involve themselves into it without minding its consequences. The youths are expected to know this, especially those in the university age.
Sex education equips young people with the skills to be able to differentiate between accurate and inaccurate information, and to discuss a range of moral and social issues and perspectives on sex and sexuality abortion and contraception.
The youth are required or expected to control themselves in the aspect of sex. Though, some doctors say sex helps to make the youth, especially the male look fresh, healthy and well mature. Without the youth being well educated, they might be misled and go into sex without having any idea of their actions. The youths will be so excited when it comes to freedom of sex, more so, as a doctor has stated its good sides.
When a youth is being educated about sex, he will be much interested to know and learn more about sex education. It  will also make them to give opportunities to talk to or discuss with other people about sex, contraception, child birth and abortion. This does not mean that you should accept what the other party is saying without a clear view but it helps to add more knowledge to the person about sex.
In the biblical aspect, sex is something that is well ordained by God, which says that sex is for the married man and woman. This does not mean that the youths will not be educated about sex and things that are related to it.
It is said that charity begins at home. Mothers are expected to train their children in the way that they should grow so that they will not depart from it. When a mother sits her child down and educates the child about the effects and consequences of sex, it can be said to be sex edcuation. The child will be able to control him or herself in this aspect of life and our society will be a conducive place for us.
It is not only the duty of the parents to educate the child or youth on sex. It can be taught in school by the teacher and  other adults to eduate the youths and give them details on sex education. Some schools think that, it is not right to mention such things in school which make them not to add it in their curriculum.
Some people say that educating the youth on sex education can lure them into a practical work. It is said that practice makes perfect, so they think that the youth will go into it as they have been taught which increases corruption in our society, but I think is not true but it helps in the stoppage of corruption in the society because the youths are now educated about the consequences about it.
In educating the youth about sex, it is expected that you educate the child all about sex, such as sex of the same sex, lesbianism, and homesexuality should be well taught, so that our youths will abstain from it and should know that it is an abomination before the Lord.
Lesbianism and homosexuality have also been the order of the day especially the youth, most especially those who are not educated about sex. The youths are to be educated about the effect of this bad behaviour.
The youths being leaders of tomorrow, have to be trained in a Godly manner to enable them know things that affect them and the society. When a child is not well trained, it becomes a problem to the parents and society. So it is good to educate the youth or a child about sex to reduce such incidents as rape, including immorality and diseases in the society.
Indeed, sex education enhances the growth of the society. This would in the final analysis, be beneficial to youths, parents and society as a while.
The importance of sex education in the society is to help the youths not to be deceived in the world. So that the youth will know what to do at any point or condition they find themselves.
Sex education is also important for the youths because when a girl is not given a proper sex education, whether at home or school and she involves herself into it, it may lead to unwanted pregnancies which terminate her future as this can lead her into dropping out of school and engage in prostitution.
Similarly, a young man who does not have any knowledge of sex education may force a girl or lady into bed without knowing the consequences of his action.
Rather than trying to frighten young people away from having sex, effective sex education includes work on attitudes and beliefs that enable youths to choose whether or not to have sexual relationship, taking into account the potential risks  of any sexual activity.
On their parts, parents should give their children a good foundation of sex education at young age because it is said that man learns more when he is younger. Also, schools should take it as their responsibility to give the youth adequate sex education to promote societal development.
There are many ways in which the youths get information about sex. Sources such as books and websites. Some information may not be accurate. The provision of information through sex education is to add more knowledge to the youth about what they know about sex, for example when a youth has it in mind that condom does not prevent HIV/AIDs, it is now the duty of the media to give them correct information to prevent them from the infection.
The youth are supposed to be given vital information about sex education which helps to control their attitude and well being. They are supposed to be handled on such issues as sexual development and reproduction, how a child is to be fertile and formed, contraception and child control, what the various contraception work and do in the body, relationship and sexuality.
Sex education is being seen as the process of acquiring information and forming attitudes and beliefs about sex, sexual identity, relationships and intimacy. It is also about developing the youths skills so that they make informed choices about their behavior and feel confident and competent about acting on their choices. This should be taken seriously in the society to equip the youth for a better tomorrow.
