NGF Holds Crucial Meeting, Tuesday

The Nigeria Governors Forum would hold an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday to discuss crucial issues of national importance.
The meeting, which is slated to hold at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, is conveyed by Governor Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari of Zamfara State, who is also the chairman of the NGF.
Yari, in a statement, said the meeting would receive presentations from strategic Ministries, Departments and Agencies and development partners regarding their proposed reforms and supports to states of the federation.
“The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, Federal Ministry of Health/World Bank, Nigeria Communication Commission and the UK Department for International Development are also to make presentations at the meeting,” Yari added.
The governor also said United Nations Population Fund and the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure were equally expected to make presentations at the meeting, among others.
The meeting would also discuss major issues affecting states of the federation and the well-being of the people as well as the forum’s peer review initiative.
“Secretaries to state governments are required to come with their governors to this crucial meeting,” Yari added.
