Effiong advised politicians always embrace things that would promote national peace and security for the society to grow, adding that their actions should advance tolerance, good governance and unity. Insisting that peace is not only possible but achievable, Effiong called on the government to seek and incorporate into the domestic law relevant international conventions and recommendations that promote peace building.
According to her sustainable peace in  Rivers State will entail respect for the rule of law, inclusive governance, provision of basic services and infrastructural development.
