Being Youthful And Useful

Many a time, youths in every sphere of life are particular about being noticed, and so that can motivate one to do either something positive, such as; engaging in developmental researches inventions, church activities etc. or negative; such as; bullying, kidnapping, rape and cultism etc. This is the reason you see more youths chatting online than in church cell meetings, prayer meetings or even in organisations with good plans and programmes that empower the youths and make life easier.
Atimes, I keep wondering, … supposed, the inventors, scientists, engineers and researchers of old that translated what they studied into something tangible and of great value to man, never had the idea and the passion to actualise their dreams, there would have been much difficulty in bringing them to fruition. Some of them are; (a) apple products -Steve Jobs (b) stem machine – James Watt (c) microwave – Robert Watson Watt (d) plastic surgery – Sushruta (e) C++ programming language – BJarne etc. they all had passion, focus, determination to create value, which was not driven by profit making .
Some youths just make a career out of “falling in and out of love,” instead of building foundations that can sustain them later in life, that foundation can only be Christ. You cannot go far in life without the wisdom of God, you might study and be the best or work in big companies, multinationals, but intelligence, focus, passion and beauty with God’s wisdom will not just make you the best, but extra-ordinary among the best.
To get the wisdom of God, you must be in good terms with the giver (Christ). You can never be too far from being great, the moment you decide in your heart to change, by seeking God to know your purpose in life, you are already on your way to greatness and that greatness is in Christ, who will show you to your world.
