Wike Commiserates With Aguma’s Family On Demise Of Educationist

The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, yesterday, commiserated with the family of the Agumas on the demise of their patriarch, late Chief Nda Aguma in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The governor, described the late Nda Aguma as a great educationist and a man of high morals whose great contributions to educational development of Rivers State remain indelible.
According to Wike, his death is painful because it came at a time the government of Rivers State needed veterans and sound educationists to counsel it, describing the patriarch as a famous disciplinarian who lived a life worthy of emulation.
His words: “You could not have schooled in Port Harcourt in those days without hearing the name, ‘Nda Aguma’.  That was when schools were schools.”
Wike enjoined the family of late Aguma not to mourn, but take solace in God, describing the late  Aguma as a great man who served Rivers State to the best of his ability.
Responding on behalf of the family, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Emmanuel Chinwe Aguma, a nephew to the deceased, thanked the governor and his entourage for commiserating with the family.
He described the late chief as a man who rendered great service to Rivers State in his life time.
