Group Calls For Personnel Audit In ABOLGA

A non-political
organisation based in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State, Edogh Abuan, has called on the authorities of the local government council as well as the state government to embark on the verification exercise in the council in order to ascertain the actual staff strength of the council.
The group which stated this  in a press release signed by its Secretary,  Mr Victor Obiene and made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt noted with dismay that the local government council staff audit committee set up to verify fraud and other employment abnormalities had gone into oblivion.
It explained that the audit verification exercise would help the leadership  of the council to block some loopholes that were being used by some personnel of the council to drain the council financially.
According to the group, the exercise if conducted, as it was done in other local government councils in the state would create opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths of the local government area to be gainfully employed in the council as well as enable the local government authority to embark on the development projects in the area.
It, therefore, used the opportunity to congratulate the caretaker committee of the local government area led by Chief Oyekuotor Isaac Ukwe and pledged its support to move the council forward.
