Crime Reporters Hail Ex-CP’s Achievements

State Judiciary Press corps/Crime Reporters have lauded the out-going state Commissioner of Police, CP Chris Ezike, for his achievements in crime fighting in the state.
The chairman of the association, Deacon Samuel Chinda, made this commendation when he led other members of the association to pay a courtesy visit on the out-going CP in his office, in Port Harcourt, over the weekend.
Deacon Chinda noted that since the redeployment of CP Ezike to the state, the crime rates in the state has drastically reduced, adding that the declaration of emergency on crime fighting in the state was the determining factor.
He lauded the out-going state Commissioner of Police on the cordial relationship that existed between his office and the crime correspondents during his brief stay in the State adding that he would be remembered for his laudable programmes as well as his zero tolerance to crimes in the state.
The crime correspondent chairman regretted that the former commissioner of police has been redeployed when his services was most needed by the people of the state and prayed the Almighty God to continue to guide him in his new area.
Deacon Chinda assured him of the continued cordial relationship between the press and the command for effective reportage of the police activities in the state.
Responding, the former Commissioner of Police, CP Chris Ezike, thanked the association for the visit and called for continuous working relationship with the command.
CP Ezike opined that the success recorded by his administration can not be complete without the press, noting that security was a collective responsibility.
The out-going state Commissioner of Police used the opportunity to advised journalists on National Security in their reporting, adding that as journalist we must exercise responsibility while reporting.
