Sports Writers Storm PH From, ’Morrow

The National Executive
Committee, NEC, member chairmen and secretaries of the state branches of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN will from tomorrow storm the city of Port Harcourt for their 2015 National full Council meeting, tagged Rivers 2015.
According to schedule of programmes for the meeting, tomorrow is arrival date for all the delegates, Wednesday will be for visitations and Thursday will be for the opening ceremony and business session at the main auditorium of the Ernest Ikoli Press Centre Moscow Road Port Harcourt.
The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, who is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour will be accorded patronship of the association, while the chairman of Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Majesty, King Dandeson Douglas Jaja, Jp, Jeki V, Amanyanabo of Opobo Kingdom will be the Royal father of the day.
Speaking to newsmen on the state of preparedness towards hosting the meeting, Chairman of the Local Organising committee, Loc, of the event, Mr Honour Sirawoo said the that courtesy of the sate government, all logistics needed for a successful meeting and stay of the delegates have been taken care of. He commended the state governor, Chief Wike for making good his pledge to host the full council meeting, which will once more put the state in the frontline of sports discuss in Nigeria and beyond.
Sirawoo described the governor’s interest and commitment to sports as huge and urged him not to relent in his push to return the sate to the leadership position, especially, in the promotion and development of sports in the country.
