Rotary Club Donates Medical Equipment To Health Centres

The Rotary Club of Nige
ria has donated scale, blood pressure and sugar level measuring apparatus, disinfectants, refrigerator and cotton wool, amongst others, to some primary health centres in Jos.
The District Governor of Rotary Club 9125, Dr Mike Omotosho, who made the donation last Friday, said it was to augment government’s efforts in improving health care delivery to ensure efficient productivity and accelerated development.
Omotosho said the items were donated at Dogon Agogo Primary Health Centres where they also conducted free medical check-up for the elderly.
Omotosho added that rotary club had been fervent in the eradication of polio and urged stakeholders to partner to ensure that the two years remaining for Nigeria to be declared polio-free, was achieved.
The governor commended the Jos Tin City Rotary club for producing six sign-boards on the campaign for ‘Peace’ crucial for meaningful development in the society.
President of Jos Tin City Rotary Club, Ms Priscillia Dewa, said the club conducted a needs assessment in Jos South and North to know what to provide for the selected health centers.
She said the club would continue to render community service to the people through their time, talent and treasure.
The community leader of Ibrahim Katsina ward, Malam Shehu Suleiman, who  expressed appreciation for the donation said the community was privileged to have two health centers that benefitted from their benevolence.
The donations were made to Primary Health Centers in Tudun Wada, Jos South, Dogon Agogo  Jos North, and Samantha Clinic  Jos North.
District 9125 Rotary club also donated medical sundries to Open Doors Special Education Center, a school for the intellectually impaired in Jos.
